Microneedling

A rejuvenating, results-focused treatment designed to support smoother texture, firmer skin, improved tone, and a more radiant complexion. Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin, encouraging the skin’s natural repair process and helping stimulate new collagen and elastin over time.

During this full face and neck treatment, a specialty AnteAGE Microneedling Solution is used to support collagen production, healing and hydration. This professional serum contains pro-regeneration, anti-inflammatory Stem Cell Growth Factors and Cytokines. These signaling proteins help support the skin’s natural renewal process, while hyaluronic acid provides hydration, lubrication, and a plumping effect within the upper layers of the skin. A basic hyaluronic hydrating serum can be used instead in cases where the client does not want the AnteAGE serum used.

Microneedling is a well-established treatment option for concerns such as acne scarring, pockmarks, uneven texture, enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness, and overall skin rejuvenation. It is often a more cost-effective alternative to laser treatments and can deliver beautiful, visible improvement with repeated sessions.

Best for: Fine lines, uneven texture, acne scarring, enlarged pores, dullness, loss of firmness, and overall skin rejuvenation.

For best results, microneedling is recommended in a series of 3 to 6 treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on the skin concern being treated. For more advanced laxity, texture concerns or acne scarring, continued treatments over a period of one to two years may be recommended. Your skin will be assessed, and a customized treatment plan including home care products will be created to support your goals.

Advanced treatments such as Microneedling work best when paired with a supportive home care product routine to keep the skin healthy and help maximize your results.

Collagen continues to build for several months after each treatment, meaning results develop gradually over time. In the months following treatment, the skin may appear firmer, smoother, more refined, and more radiant as elasticity, texture, pores, and overall skin quality improve.

Downtime is typically minimal. Most clients experience a rosy, sun-kissed appearance the day of treatment, which usually fades the following day. By the next day, many clients are able to return to their normal product and makeup routine as directed.

Post-treatment instructions must be followed carefully, including avoiding sun exposure, heat, sweating, and using SPF and recommended home care products as directed.

Microneedling Frequently Asked Questions

Microneedling is an advanced skin treatment that helps encourage your skin’s natural renewal process.

During the treatment, tiny controlled micro-channels are created in the skin. These micro-channels signal the body to begin its repair process, which helps stimulate fresh collagen and elastin production. Collagen and elastin are what give the skin its firmness, smoothness, bounce, and overall youthful appearance.

Over time, Microneedling can help improve the look of:

  • acne scarring and pockmarks
  • uneven texture
  • enlarged pores
  • fine lines and wrinkles
  • dullness
  • loss of firmness
  • uneven tone
  • overall skin quality and radiance

Because collagen builds gradually, Microneedling results continue to improve for several months after each treatment. Most skin concerns respond best to a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart, especially deeper texture concerns like acne scarring.

Think of Microneedling as a way to “wake up” the skin’s repair system. It encourages the skin to rebuild itself from within, helping it become smoother, stronger, firmer, and more refined over time.

Microneedling is typically very tolerable, especially with the use of numbing cream.

Before the treatment begins, we cleanse the skin and a topical numbing cream (Lidocaine) is applied to help keep you as comfortable as possible. If you have an allergy to Lidocaine (or any “caine” products – Benzocaine, Tetracaine, Lidocaine) we will not be able to pre-numb you for this service.

Most clients describe the sensation as light pressure, vibration, scratching, or a prickly feeling rather than intense pain.

Comfort level can vary depending on the area being treated and your personal sensitivity. Areas with thinner skin or more bone structure, like the forehead, upper lip, and around the nose, may feel a little more sensitive. Fuller areas of the face, like the cheeks, are often easier to tolerate.

The goal is not to make the treatment feel painful, the goal is to create controlled micro-channels in the skin while keeping you comfortable throughout the service. Sensation is normal, but the numbing cream helps take the edge off so the treatment feels manageable.

Afterward, the skin may feel warm, tight, or tender, similar to a mild sunburn. This usually calms down within the first day or so, and post-care instructions will help support the skin as it heals.

Advanced treatments are never a “one and done” service and are cumulative (increase or build up over time and multiple sessions).

For best results, Microneedling is recommended in a series of 3 to 6 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, depending on the skin concern being treated. For more advanced laxity, texture concerns or acne scarring, continued treatments over a period of one to two years may be recommended. Your skin will be assessed, and a customized treatment plan including required home care products will be created to support your goals. We also may choose to alternate Microneedling with other beneficial treatments such as Corrective Chemical Peels to obtain the desired results.

Professional home care is what prepares your skin in order to make the most of advanced treatments and helps your skin keep working between treatments.

Microneedling creates a controlled renewal response in the skin, helping stimulate collagen, improve texture, soften acne scarring, refine pores, and support overall skin health. But what you do at home every day matters just as much as what happens in the treatment room.

Think of it like hiring a personal trainer at the gym. You can show up for an amazing workout, have a customized plan, and push your body in the right direction, but if you leave the gym and eat fast food every day, your progress is going to be slower, less noticeable, and harder to maintain. The workout still helps, but your daily habits are either supporting the results or working against them.

Your skin works the same way.

Advanced treatments like Microneedling are the “workout” for your skin. Professional home care is the “nutrition” your skin needs to recover, rebuild, and stay healthy between visits. The right products help protect your skin barrier, reduce inflammation, maintain hydration, support collagen production, and prevent unnecessary irritation or damage.

When professional treatments and home care are paired together, your skin has a much better environment to heal, strengthen, and improve over time. This is especially important for concerns like acne scarring, pockmarks, fine lines, uneven texture, and loss of firmness, because these changes happen gradually and require consistency.

Microneedling can create beautiful results, but the best results come from a complete plan: intentional treatments, proper post-care, daily SPF, and professional products chosen specifically for your skin.

Growth Factors are now established by peer-reviewed research as the highest level of optimization in anti-aging skincare.

Your skin works hard to protect you every day. Stem cells naturally produced within your skin contain hundreds of different Growth Factors and Cytokines used to manage the healing and regeneration processes. These are the most intelligent anti-inflammatory agents in your body.

As we age, the skin’s natural repair response slows down, which can lead to visible changes like fine lines, texture, loss of firmness, dullness, and slower healing. AnteAGE focuses on helping restore the skin’s healthy communication process using these growth factors and cytokines, which are powerful skin-signaling proteins that help support repair and rejuvenation.

During the Microneedling treatment, tiny controlled micro-channels are created in the skin to help activate the skin’s renewal process. When paired with AnteAGE’s professional Microneedling solution, the skin is supported with ingredients designed to calm, nourish, and encourage a healthy post-treatment response.

AnteAGE Microneedling Solution contains pro-healing, anti-inflammatory growth factors and cytokines derived from laboratory culture of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells, the specialized cells that science has determined function as “command and control” of healing in all injured tissues. Hyaluronic acid provides lubrication and is a powerful humectant that promotes rapid re-hydration and volume enhancement within the upper layers of the skin. AnteAGE products contain no cells or cell remnants (they are removed during ultrafiltration, the final step in the laboratory culture process). These stem cells are not fetal or embryonic – they are sourced only from the bone marrow of young, healthy, pre-screened adult donors. They ethically sourced from state of the art, certified laboratories. Stem cell cytokines also contain none of the original cell parts themselves, only the beneficial growth factors they produce.

This makes AnteAGE an ideal pairing for advanced skin treatments like Microneedling, where the goal is to support smoother texture, improved firmness, more even tone, and overall skin rejuvenation over time.

We respect your choice! Microneedling can also be performed using a basic Hyaluronic Serum, which is a hydrating serum that provides slip and moisture to the skin during the treatment and contains no stem cells, growth factors or cytokines. Because Microneedling ultimately relies on your body’s own healing mechanisms to promote collagen production, provided that your skin is in healthy condition and you are on a recommended home care product routine, you will still see results from treatments.

LED Light Therapy, also known as Red Light Therapy, is a beautiful pairing after Microneedling because it helps support the skin while it moves through its natural repair process.

Microneedling creates tiny controlled micro-channels in the skin to encourage collagen and elastin production. After treatment, the skin is actively working to calm, repair, and rebuild. LED Red Light Therapy helps support this process by using specific wavelengths of light to energize the skin cells, calm visible redness, and encourage a healthier post-treatment response.

After Microneedling, LED Light Therapy may help:

  • reduce the appearance of redness and inflammation
  • support the skin’s natural healing process
  • encourage collagen and elastin production
  • calm the feeling of heat or sensitivity
  • promote a more even, radiant-looking complexion
  • support overall skin recovery after treatment

Think of Microneedling as the treatment that “wakes up” the skin’s repair system, and LED Light Therapy as the calming support that helps guide the skin into recovery mode. It does not replace proper aftercare, SPF, or professional home care, but it can be a gentle, soothing addition to help the skin feel calmer and supported after an advanced treatment.
